Walking, discovering, sharing: Va' Sentiero is much more than a trip.
It is a love song for the mountains, a message of redemption, the first step of a long journey.
Va' Sentiero is a travel idea based on the concepts of discovery, sharing & circularity.
With our expeditions we explore the highlands and
we document the routes and the territories.
We collect technical data, cultural and enogastronomic information, we create photos and videos to share the experience.
We believe in the interaction with the territory and in people's active engagement:
anyone can join us and we organize cultural events along the way in synergy with local active realities.
We want to encourage slow tourism, stimulate the economy and the environmental awareness of inland areas.
In 2016, we discovered the Sentiero Italia and we fell in love with it. Impressed by its potential and its being semi-unknown, we had a crazy idea: to drop everything and set up an expedition to promote the Sentiero and give voice to the highlands.
We quit our jobs and bet everything on our dream, creating a project, a network and a team of volunteers.
After two years of work, on 1 May 2019 we started from the Gulf of Trieste.
In the following two years we crossed the whole country on foot, documenting every single stage. On 25 September 2021, after 7,850 km, we concluded our expedition on the Sentiero Italia.
With the experience we gained in the field, we carry on new projects to enhance new trails and territories with the proven format: walk, discover, share.
The Va' Sentiero project is dedicated to Walter Bonatti.
Like any self-respecting expedition, Va' Sentiero boasts a well-knit team.
Each of us has a specific task: from the photographer to the one who carries out technical and cultural documentation, from who leads the group to who takes care of the logistics...
Va' Sentiero is a grassroot project, thanks to the spontaneous contribution of thousands of people.
Even the most complicated dream, a 7,000km uphill dream, can be achieved... together.
